Float On (abstract painting)

I go running along the streets regularly and burn up 300 calories of belly blubber per run. I can only do it with music in my ears....to blot out the sound of my desperate panting. One song on my mp3 player has helped me along countless times and has inspired an abstract painting.

I have three routes depending on my mood. One is on the tow path along the local canal but it's rather boring - one long winding path, flat water and trees. To counter the boredom I like to disappear into a dream-like world  and put on Float On by The Floaters (using the repeat facility.) It drops me into a floaty, trance-like world for some reason and I forget I'm running. I've done a small quick abstract, astral intangible painting with it in mind. Here it is on a bit of wood board I found in a skip.

I love this 1977 song due to the bass guitar. I have a version nearly twelve minutes long and tweak the sounds effects to feel the bass guitar pumping down through my chest. The link to the song is below. Those Detroit dudes remind me of those black dudes you see in porn films with massive one foot long dicks.

I just made up this painting as I went along. One evening I did a soft surreal background using pastel colours and the next morning I added those two blocks. They seems to floating along nicely. Nonsensical paintings like this can sell at auctions for hundreds of thousands of pounds/dollars so this is a bargain at only £88,444.
